Education

Tuftonboro is a part of SAU #49, the Governor Wentworth Regional School District, along with the towns of Brookfield, Effingham, New Durham, Ossipee and Wolfeboro. Tuftonboro does grades K-6 at the Tuftonboro Central School, but other resident students in the area go to the Kingswood Regional Middle and High Schools, both located in Wolfeboro.

For students and adult learners who are ready to move on to a more collegiate environment, area colleges and universities include Berne University, University of New Hampshire, Lakes Region Community College, Southern New Hampshire University Granite State College, Plymouth State University, and Saint Joseph's College, to name a few.
